Michael Burd is wrong when he cites discrimination against Palestinian Christians as evidence that Jews would be mistreated in any future Israeli-Palestinian state.
The only empirical survey on the treatment of Palestinian Christians was conducted in 2006 (when the Palestinian Authority was run by Hamas). It found that 73% of Christians believed that the PA treated their heritage with respect, while 66% believed that Israel treated it with brutality or indifference. More tellingly still, more than three quarters of those surveyed identified Israel’s occupation and aggression towards them as the main cause of Christian emigration.
