“Barrier to Peace”
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s commitment to a two-state solution is on the surface most welcome but this really is more of the same but under a different heading.
How can you have a peace settlement when Netanyahu rejects a key US and UN demand to the freezing of settlement construction in the Palestinian territories. Any talk of a two-state solution under these arrangements is just that – talk.
To date all the Palestinians have been offered at all peace negotiations are a patch-work of reservations surrounded by Israeli settlements and on their own land.
This situation has got to change.
If the Berlin wall can come down, then so can the barriers to peace in this conflict.
