After Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza in early 2009 the Major Issues and Theology Foundation (MIAT) commissioned a number of paintings showing images of life in Gaza. This was a way of both contributing economically to communities in Gaza and learning about conditions in a place very few people are permitted to visit and even fewer are allowed to leave. The result is this exhibition, Life in Gaza Today.  AFoPA has been able to secure this exhibition to be shown in Adelaide during the festival season.  Future AFoPA notices will provide you with information about the details for the opening of this wonderful exhibition but in the meantime you can view the catalogue online at the MIAT website.

It is a captivated painting. As a Palestinian lives in Gaza, I find this truly heart-touching. Somehow I saw this picture a live one day.
