Fri 30 Apr, MELBOURNE: Panel discussion – “A History of Palestinian Resistance” with Samah Sabawi and Sonja Karkar April 11, 2010

n110351102323621_9422Come along to this special Students for Palestine panel discussion on a history of Palestinian resistance.

We will be hearing from Samah Sabawi who is a Gazan now living in Melbourne. Samah has been an advocate for Palestinian rights in many countries. She will be speaking about the significance of the non-violent resistance in places like Bilin and Nilin and also the significance of the current BDS movement.

Our other guest speaker will be Sonja Karkar from Australians for Palestine.  She will be speaking on Palestinian Resistance since 1886-1990 (end of the First Intifada).

We will also be hearing about the kind of support we in Australia can give to such Palestinian resistance.
