Andrew Bolt (1/7) appears to base his decision on who would be a better Prime Minister, Julia Gillard or Peter Costello, on their public speaking abilities and the longevity of their unquestioning support for Israel. Fortunately in the Australian democratic tradition our leadership is decided at the ballot box on a wide range of issues taking in to account our national interest.s Mr Bolt may not be aware that a recent Roy Morgan poll has shown that 42% of Australian voters disapprove of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians while only 29% approve so even if the next election was fought on such a narrow basis neither of Andrew Bolt’s candidates would be successful.
