Mark Bradbeer (VIC) writes to The Age on the failure to hold Israel accountable 16Jun10 June 16, 2010

Israel has beaten the Internationals at the ‘world game’ again. Like the shelving of the UN Report after Israel killed 1400 Palestinians last year, Tony Blair (The Age 16/6, p12) concedes that there will be no international investigation of Israel’s killing of internationals in international waters or its abduction of 700 international humanitarian aid workers.

In addition, Blair scored a second goal for Israel by admitting there will be no lifting of the blockade on Gaza, a collective punishment of 1.5 million people condemned by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Red Cross as a clear violation of Israel’s obligations under international law (Fourth Geneva Convention)*
