The Australian: “Congress deals Netanyahu trump card” by Michael Shaik, 14 July 2010

Just days after the White House meeting between U.S. President Obama and
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu we can see the effects that Michael Shaik
in “Congress deals Netanyahu trump card” correctly surmises as a win for
Netanyahu. Israel has once again razed Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem
while at the same time approval has been given for the immediate
construction of new housing units for Jewish settlers thereby completely
undermining the so-called peace talks that Netanyahu claims he wants to
restart.

From this it is abundantly clear that Obama has no will to impose any sort
of fair play and that its ally Israel does not want any sort of peace that
would give even a modicum of justice to the Palestinians who continue to be
systematically stripped of their human rights in what was their homeland.
