7 Aug, NEWCASTLE: Seminar with Palestine leader from Gaza, Constantine Dabbagh July 6, 2010

WHERE: Adamstown Uniting Church, Brunker Road, Adamstown.
Constantine Dabbagh will review efforts of moderate Christian and Muslim leaders to achieve a peaceful resolution of the conflict and to convince the Israeli Government to end the current blockade of Gaza.

Constantine Dabbagh, Palestinian Christian and Executive Director of the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) Department of Service for Palestinian Refugees in Gaza will be visiting Newcastle from 6th to 8th August, 2010.

The health care and vocational education programs of the MECC in Gaza have been supported by Australian churches for over 20 years through the annual Christmas Bowl appeal. Several ecumenical organisations are involved in the visit to Australia and the churches of the Hunter region are organising the events during the three days in Newcastle.

Constantine will be available for media interviews on Friday 6th August from 4.00pm
