Two decades of “peace process” has seen the tripling of illegal settlements
that have stolen Palestinian land – strategically placed to further
dispossess and fragment the Palestinian people. Yet Israel’s supporters
continue to tell us it is Palestinian intransigence that is at fault because
they want this theft and disintegration of their people to stop before they
will “negotiate” anymore.
What precisely has Israel done for a peaceful settlement except profess that
it is willing to “talk” peace while its actions carve out a Bantustan
reality of apartheid for the Palestinians? And how can the Palestinians be
expected to negotiate away their rights.
