The Australian: “Green foolish to liken Israel and Apartheid” by Bruce Loudon, 25 March 2011

Prominent South African anti-apartheid activist Ronnie Kasrils and
Archbishop Desmond Tutu both contradict Bruce Loudon’s conclusion that it is
nonsense to claim Israel is an apartheid state. Kasrils who fought against
South African apartheid and who now speaks out against Israel’s apartheid
says Israel resembles “more and more South Africa at its zenith-even
surpassing its brutality”.

And Archbishop Desmond Tutu who last year sent a letter of support to
students at UC Berkley who were calling for divestment from Israel is on
record for saying: “If you change the names, the description of what is
happening in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank would be a description of what
is happening in South Africa”.

Loudon clearly is ill-informed or refuses to see what Israel has become.
Apartheid takes many forms and the most insidious forms of apartheid are
those, which are hidden from view.
