19 Jun, SYDNEY: Film Screening “Susya” May 25, 2011

After being evicted 25 years ago, a Palestinian father and son must buy tickets to enter their former home, the West Bank village of Susya; it’s now an open air archeological museum describing its Roman-era period as a Jewish town. As the father searches in vain for traces of the family’s presence, the expedition becomes a direct cinema prĂ©cis of the ownership of history and territory.
