Rex Williams (ACT) write to the Greek Ambassador in Australia re flotilla 3Jul11 July 4, 2011

It is beyond understanding that the Greek government would authorise the boarding of a ship, the removal of foreign citizens off that  ship  and the placement of such people in custody.

There are few people in the world that are respected more than the Greeks by the people of Australia due to  their assimilation in large numbers into the Australia population and their  contribution to our values has  made them very special to us.

It is therefore seemingly impossible that such a fine country populated by worthy people could be manipulated by other countries to do their bidding, against the principles of international justice and fair play.

I am extremely disappointed in the actions of your country in this matter.
