John O’Hara (VIC) writes to The Age re Israel’s latest anti-BDS laws 13Jul11 July 13, 2011
The West anxiously awaits the outcome of several Arab uprisings, and wonders what sort of democracies, if any, may emerge. Similar anxiety might be nascent regarding Israel’s (claimed) democracy, where it will now be illegal for its citizens to protest against actions the rest of the international community regards as legal. How much further down this path can one go and still claim to be a democracy?
Thank You.
