George Costanza to ask for some ‘serenity now’ at Knesset meeting 24Oct11 October 24, 2011

Haaretz  -  22 October 2011

American actor Jason Alexander, most famous for his role as George Costanza in the hit 90’s sitcom “Seinfeld”, is set to participate in a discussion in the Knesset on Monday regarding the policy of the state of Israel in the aftermath of the release of abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

The discussion, which will take place as part of an event hosted by MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima) to promote a two-state solution, will include a delegation of over 30 American businessmen and entertainers as part of the “One Voice” campaign.

The discussion is meant to aid the delegation in understanding the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the different ways to arrive at a two-state solution, the strengthening of ties between Israel and worldwide Jewry and improving Israel’s image abroad.

Hasson, who is one of the organizers of the meeting, said Friday that if “we are willing to negotiate with extremists to release Gilad Shalit, then it is time to start negotiating with moderates.”
