Lavinia Moore (SA) writes to the Adelaide Advertiser re Palestine’s UNESCO membership 4Nov11 November 7, 2011
Dear Sir,
“Once again an Australian government has revealed its forelock-tugging propensity. (No doubt an inherited attribute residual from some far distant convict past?)
The vote against Palestine’s membership of UNESCO beggars belief. Are they protecting Australia’s interests in trade of Palestinian artefacts?
If Australia wants to be regarded as a fully independent state, we need to be able to say “no” to our bullying patron.
This is yet another shameful and senseless act that reveals our hypocrisy and cowardice as a nation.
I am shocked.
Once again.”
Thank You.
