Israeli forces razed buildings across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, including a mosque, solar panels providing electricity and a children’s rabbit hutch, witnesses said Thursday.

The UN humanitarian affairs office says 488 Palestinian buildings have been demolished in 2011 displacing 887 people from their homes, more than twice the number in the same period in 2010.

1-4: In Jerusalem’s Beit Hanina neighborhood, two houses were demolished after three years of reviews and deliberations in a construction committee, the civil administration said. (Reuters)

5-8: A mosque, two houses, and a barn with children’s pet rabbits were razed in southern Hebron village Um Fagareh. Witnesses said two girls were detained by Israeli forces while trying to prevent the demolition of the rabbits’ pen. (Operation Dove)

9-11: Israeli forces demolished a home and animal shelter in Susiya, another small community in southern Hebron, as well as damaging solar panels providing electricity. (EAPPI)
