You are to be commended for taking steps to follow up the piece in The Australian newspaper relating to the treatment by Israelis of Palestinian children.
All too sadly the Australian Government has mostly been silent, or very muted in any comment or criticism, of Israel’s actions with respect to the West Bank and Palestinians.
If Australia does truly seek a fair and just outcome – and peace – of the present conflict, for both Palestinians and Israelis, it will need to be bold enough, through you as Foreign Minister, to call Israel to account for its blatant breaches of international law and countless UN Resolutions.
