Ramallah, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have detained 14 Palestinians at roadblocks in the West Bank since the start of 2012 including three women, the international Tadamun foundation for human rights said on Sunday.

Ahmed Tobasi, a lawyer and a researcher with Tadamun, said that the military barriers humiliate and delay Palestinians while on their way to work, schools, and universities.

He noted that the detainees at those roadblocks are left for hours in the cold while blindfolded and handcuffed other than being subjected to beatings and insults.

Tobasi said that two of the women detained, one of them in her fifties, were held for allegedly trying to stab Israeli soldiers while the third, a 19-year-old, was detained after visiting her imprisoned brother and taken to an unknown detention center.
