Several residents injured in air strikes targeting Gaza 24Jan12 January 24, 2012

Palestinian medical sources reported that several Palestinians were wounded, on Tuesday at dawn, after the Israeli Air Force bombarded a number of areas in the Gaza Strip.
The sources stated that the wounded residents suffered mild injuries; damage was reported.

Also, two fighters were wounded when the Israeli Air Force bombarded two areas, believed to be training centers for resistance fighters, in Jabalia and Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, an Israeli military spokesperson stated that the Israeli Air Force bombarded tunnels, and resistance fighters, in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli air strikes hit Gaza Strip

JERUSALEM: Israel carried out air strikes on the Gaza Strip overnight Monday in response to recent rocket fire against Israel, the army said in a statement.

The Israeli planes targetted an arms factory in the centre of the Palestinian territory as well as three tunnels used for smuggling contraband, two in the north and one in the south, the army said.

The targets were hit, the statement added.
