Open Letter to Media & MPs re pro-Zionist Labor & Apartheid Israel threat to Australian superannuation funds
Outstanding Jewish Australian jurist Sir Isaac Isaacs, Australia’s first Australian-born Governor-General, stated (1946): “The honour of Jews throughout the world demands the renunciation of political Zionism.”
18 famous writers, including 3 Nobel Laureates, in 2006 slammed Apartheid Israel’s Palestinian Genocide as “[Israel’s] long-term military, economic and geographic practice whose political aim is nothing less than the liquidation of the Palestinian nation”.
Naomi Klein, outstanding Jewish Canadian journalist, author and activist (2007): “There is a debate among Jews – I’m a Jew by the way. The debate boils down to the question: “Never again to everyone, or never again to us?… [Some Jews] even think we get one get-away-with-genocide-free card…There is another strain in the Jewish tradition that say[s], “Never again to anyone.””
Jewish Israeli Professor Avi Shlaim, Professor of International Relations, Oxford University (2009): “Brief review of Israel’s record over the past four decades makes it difficult to resist the conclusion that it has become a rogue state with “an utterly unscrupulous set of leaders”. A rogue state habitually violates international law, possesses weapons of mass destruction and practises terrorism – the use of violence against civilians for political purposes. Israel fulfils all of these three criteria; the cap fits and it must wear it. Israel’s real aim is not peaceful coexistence with its Palestinian neighbours but military domination.”
Numerous outstanding anti-racist Jewish Australians (2010): “We are Jews from Australia, who, like Jewish people throughout the world, have an automatic right to Israeli citizenship under Israel’s “law of return.” While this law may seem intended to enable a Jewish homeland, we submit that it is in fact a form of racist privilege that abets the colonial oppression of the Palestinians. Today there are more than seven million Palestinian refugees around the world. Israel denies their right to return to their homes and land—a right recognized and undisputed by UN Resolution 194, the Geneva Convention, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Meanwhile, we are invited to live on that same land simply because we are Jewish, thereby potentially taking the place of Palestinians who would dearly love to return to their ancestral lands. We renounce this “right” to “return” offered to us by Israeli law. It is not right that we may “return” to a state that is not ours while Palestinians are excluded and continuously dispossessed.”
Outstanding American and British anti-racist Jews have similarly denounced and renounced the racist, genocidal “law of return” In the recent book “The Plight of the Palestinians” numerous eminent, anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish writers from around the world (and including Australia) have decried what they variously describe as an ongoing “Palestinian Genocide”. 95 outstanding anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish writers (including several Nobel Laureates) have supported Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against what many describe as Apartheid Israel, stating (2006): “UN resolutions are flouted, human rights violated as Palestinian land is stolen, houses demolished and crops destroyed. For archbishop Desmond Tutu, as for the Jewish former ANC military commander now South African minister of security, Ronnie Kasrils, the situation of the Palestinians is worse than that of black South Africans under apartheid.”
However, lying, defamation, intimidation, censorship and traitorously subversive corruption (including the use of the proceeds of crime) mean that the racist Zionist agenda is dominant in Australian public life, and most disgracefully so in the transiently anti-racist Australian Labor Party which has now become an unprincipled and terminally disreputable Apartheid Labor Party and an Apartheid Israel-supporting Labor Party that has utterly betrayed decent, anti-racist, pro-equity and pro-environment Labor voters.
Conversely, anti-racist Jews are now subject to a new kind of virulent, racist Zionist-promoted anti-Jewish anti-Semitism in Australia that variously involves sidelining, egregious censorship by mainstream media including the taxpayer-funded ABC, false defamation as “self-hating Jews” and “anti-Semites”, and utterly false defamation by the conflation of the horrendous crimes of the so-called “Jewish State” of Apartheid Israel with “all” Jews, including anti-racist Jews. Yet nobody in Australia is prepared to publicly defend anti-racist Jews from this virulent, racist attack except anti-racist Jewish Australians themselves.
The seriously flawed, pro-Zionist Gillard Labor Government recently sent a delegation to Apartheid Israel to explore investment of Australian superannuation funds in this racism-, lying-, theft- and genocide-based, nuclear terrorist rogue state ruled by an “utterly unscrupulous set of leaders”. Decent, anti-racist Australians must finally find the courage to speak out in the national interest against not only the racism, terrorism and genocide of nuclear terrorist Apartheid Israel but also against the sheer folly of investing Australian superannuation funds in a ruthless rogue state based on theft and mendacity.
