24 June, SYDNEY: Voices for Gaza fundraiser “In memory of Najah” May 28, 2012

In Memory of Najah

Najah Qdeh was one of the first beneficiaries of an APHEDA project in Gaza which provided her with six rabbits and cages to provide some income for her impoverished family.

On 8 April 2011, Najah and one of her daughters were killed by a missile from an Israeli drone as they cooked. Two other daughters were seriously injured.[See APHEDA update story HERE]

On our recent study tour, Najah’s husband begged us to find a hospital where their injured 17-year-old daughter could be taken, as there are none in Gaza that could remove the shrapnel still inside her skull.

ALL FUNDS RAISED FROM THIS EVENT WILL GO TO ASSIST NAJAH’S DAUGHTER TRAVEL OUTSIDE GAZA TO HAVE THIS OPERATION
