Artists Joan Manuel Serrat and Joaquin Sabina, musicians affiliated with the political left in the Spanish state, are performing in Tel Aviv on Thursday 21 June. In response to the Palestinian call that they boycott performing in Israel until Israel complies with international law, Serrat and Sabina announced they have friends in Israel and don’t wish to boycott so many people working against Israel’s occupation.
Sergio Yahni of the Alternative Information Center wrote one of the first protest letters to Serrat and Sabina, a letter we know they have read. The letter may be seen here in English and here in Castellano.
