Egypt opens Rafah crossing, Israeli terminal closes 26Jun12 June 26, 2012

Rafah, the sole passenger crossing open to residents of Gaza, is open in both directions for travel, terminal director Ayyoub Abu Shaar said.
The crossing was closed on Sunday amid a security alert in the northern Sinai. Egyptian security sources said earlier its reopening depended on the security situation.
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities closed its commercial terminal into Gaza Kerem Shalom on Monday, a liaison official said.
Crossings officer Raed Fattouh said Israeli officials informed them the crossing would be closed because missiles fired from Gaza landed near the crossing.
Before a truce brokered late Saturday, Gaza militant groups fired dozens of rockets into Gaza as Israeli airstrikes pounded the coastal enclave, killing at least 12 Palestinians.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said four rockets fired from Gaza landed in Israel on Sunday.
