GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — Israeli warplanes bombed a neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip overnight Wednesday.
A Ma’an reporter said an Israeli airstrike hit a farm building in an orange grove in Zeitoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City, causing damage but no injures.
A second strike landed close to a former security base in the same neighborhood but the missile failed to explode, the reporter said.
The Israeli military said in a statement that its air force targeted a “terror activity site in the northern Gaza Strip” adding that a direct hit was confirmed.
“The site was targeted in response to the rocket fire at southern Israel,” the army said.
