207317_345x230BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — French pro-Palestine activists on Friday rallied in Paris protesting Israeli president Shimon Peres’ official visit to the French capital, activists said.

The protesters urged the French government to boycott “those whose hands have been stained with Palestinian blood.”

Palestinian activists in Paris told Ma’an that the protesters shouted through loudspeakers against Peres and against the French President Francois Hollande accusing his government of siding with the occupation. They also chanted slogans praising the Palestinian people, mainly hunger-striking prisoners.

The participants carried anti-Israel and pro-Palestine posters.

Palestinian activist Ibrahim Burnat delivered a speech during the rally. He described Peres’ visit as “a stab in the back of the Palestinian people and their French friends.”

He added: “Those who host blood-stained people are accomplices in the crime and the Palestinian people will never forgive those who conspire against the Palestinian cause.”
