Byron Bay activist arrested for protesting in front of Israeli Embassy 19Mar13 March 19, 2013

Byron Friends of Palestine sent a message to Israeli ambassador Yuval Rotem in Canberra, Australia – and the person delivering it, Gareth Smith, was arrested for his trouble.   He threw a card wired to a bright pink pair of child’s bootees over the embassy fence and was arrested and charged under the Public Order Act.  He was released without charge from police custody but was told he may yet be charged.  The message is below:
