The Israeli prison service gives Palestinian prisoners prostatitis-infected injections before they are released, Russian newspaper Pravda revealed on Friday.
Pravda reported former female prisoner Rania al-Saqqa saying that prisoners suffer from “serious and chronic diseases like bladder cancer and liver disorders,” likely caused by the unknown injections prisoners receive before they are released.
Palestinian Minister for prisoners and former prisoners in the West Bank told Maan, local Palestinian news agency, that there is no confirmed information about what Al-Saqqa said, but he did state that some prisoners reported being injected with unknown injections.
Ahrar Centre for Prisoners Studies and Human Rights also said that a number of prisoners have reported being injected with unknown injections upon their release.
Former prisoners Fuad al-Khoffosh said that a big number of former prisoners suffer from bladder cancer and several serious chronic diseases. He blamed the Israeli prison service for that, at least, because of its mistreatment for prisoners and ignoring their right to appropriate treatment.
Qaraqe told Maan that c, a prisoner released on Thursday, is suffering a very serious health condition. “He is a live example for the other sick prisoners in the Israeli jails, whose number is more than 1,000,” he said.
Rania al-Saqqa from Ramallah was sentenced to 13 years in Israeli prisons. Because her health condition has deteriorated, she was released five years ago; she still suffers from fractures to the face, liver cancer and other chronic diseases.
