settlers_6_340_220On Friday 24th May, Haaretz Israeli newspaper expected tension to rise in the West Bank following calls by settlers to hold protests in different areas in the West Bank, demanding the IOF to ease rules of engagement.

The newspaper added, protests are expected to take place near al-Aroub refugee camp in Hebron, al-Jalzoun refugee camp in Ramallah and Kufr Qaddoum village in Qalqiliya.

It’s worth mentioning that the IOF commanders were instructed to minimize use of live fire in the West Bank against the Palestinian protesters, yet after the recent attack of stabbing an Israeli settler at Za’tara checkpoint, settlers started calling for protests in hope of amending regulations.
