Mohammed Assaf sings the national Palestinian song “Raise the Keffiyeh” starting with this mowal which translates to this “By God the letters of the word homeland
Like an ornament on my chest
So beautiful
The ‘f’ for flstyn (Palestine) the beloved
How precious is the homeland
Oh Arabs
How precious
The ‘l’ is for when we unite
Like a rock so strong
The ‘s’ is the question of the prisoner
When will I find salvation
And the ‘t’ is the rising of the moon
Over the grave of the martyr
And the ‘y’ is for the brave men
Coming together
And the ‘n’ for the light of the prophet
Ascending from Jerusalem”
