Attention CEO Australia Post, Ahmed Fahour
I have just seen the stamp of the Australian Light Horse “joint issue with Israel”.
What is going on? Israel was NOT a state at that time, Beersheba was a part of Palestine. To imply by association that Israel somehow assisted the Australian Light Horse is grossly untrue.
Given Israel’ appalling human rights record, and in particular its continuing illegal occupation of Palestinian land- including Beersheba, makes this stamp incredibly insulting to Australians.
I request an explanation as to why Australia Post came to produce such a tawdry product. I also demand it be withdrawn immediately and a public apology be made.
