OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– The Islamic-Christian authority for patronizing Jerusalem and the holy places revealed a new Israeli scheme to Judaize the Islamic and Arab landmarks and structures in the vicinity of the Aqsa Mosque.
Secretary-general of the authority Hanna Issa on Sunday said that according to this scheme, known as plan 38, the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) claims it intends to carry out renovations in old buildings in Jerusalem at the pretext of reinforcing buildings against earthquakes.
Issa warned that this plan would make substantial changes to the existing buildings in the old city of Jerusalem as part of Israel’s Judaization projects in the holy city, which are aimed at obliterating its Arab identity.
He said that Israel’s practices in the occupied Palestinian territories confirm that it rejects to deal with UN resolutions 242 and 338 regarding Palestine, which demand it to withdraw to the 1967 borders.
