233677_345x230JERUSALEM (Ma’an) — Israeli authorities on Sunday ordered the demolition of part of a Palestinian school in East Jerusalem, a Palestinian official said.

Samir Jabril, a Palestinian Authority education official, said the Jerusalem municipal council decided to demolish the top floor of an elementary school in Sharafat village.

The floor, which consists of three classrooms and a staff room, was added in 2000.

Israeli authorities ordered the demolition of the four rooms several years ago, but the school has been fighting the case, Jibril told Ma’an.
