The Australian:  “Building halt ‘rests with Palestinians’” by John Lyons, 24 November 2009

By stating that “We do not want the Palestinians’ suffering to continue” (Building halt ‘rests with Palestinians’, 24/11), the Israeli President has actually admitted that Israel enforces misery upon the Palestinians as a form of collective punishment.
This action is illegal under international law and must be condemned unilaterally.
It is inconceivable that Israel can continue its colonisation of the occupied Palestinian lands in such a sadistic manner, then publically admit to this fact, and not be held to account.
